The Brackney Lab is a multidisciplinary laboratory interested in the cellular and molecular mechanisms mediating virus – vector interactions and how these influence virus evolution. Our long-term objectives are to better characterize the interactions between the virus, vector, and host in hopes of improving existing control measures and developing novel interventions in order to reduce the disease burden associated with arthropod-borne pathogens.
